This my easy version of Chicken Teriyaki, actually you can just call this chicken barbeque. Why Teriyaki? Because I used Kikoman soy sauce hahaha. You can use regular soy sauce of course :)
This is the easy pinoy version, no mirin or sake. Just common condiments inb a filipino kitchen.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 kilo chicken thigh (deboned)
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black peppper
5 tbsp soy sauce
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Debone your chicken and make small incisions on the meat side. This would let the marinate penetrate better and the chicken will also cook faster.
2. Marinate for 1 hour minimum. Overnight is the best.
3. Grill or pan fry the chicken thighs until both sides are cooked. Don't be afraid if it's a little burnt, that's how it should be.
4. Serve with white rice and chilli sauce.
